Phone or tablet device

 Android Device (Compatible with Android version 8 or greater)

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device.

  2. Search FreeCast.

  3. After selecting the app click Install to begin downloading it to your device.

  4. Once the app is done installing you can begin enjoying FreeCast!

 iPhone or iPad (Compatible with iOS version 16 or greater)

  1. Open the Apple App Store on your iPad or iPhone device.

  2. Search FreeCast.

  3. Select the app when it appears and click Get to install on your device.

  4. Once the app is done installing you can begin enjoying FreeCast!

Smart TV

 Android TV (Compatible with Android TV version 8 or greater)

  1. Navigate to the Google Play Store on your device and search for FreeCast.

  2. Tap Install and follow the remaining prompts.

  3. Once the app finishes installing you can begin enjoying FreeCast on your Android TV!

 Apple TV (Compatible with tvOS version 15 or greater)

  1. Launch the App Store app from your Apple TV home screen.

  2. Use the search bar at the top of the App Store screen to search FreeCast.

  3. After locating the FreeCast app, click the app icon.

  4. Click Get to install the app on your Apple TV.

 Fire TV (Compatible with Fire OS version 6 or greater)

  1. Click on the magnifying glass icon in the top menu on your Fire TV.

  2. Search FreeCast and select the app from the list when it appears.

  3. Select Get or Download to install the FreeCast app.

 Samsung TV (Compatible with Tizen version 5.5 or greater)

  1. Navigate to the Apps section on your Samsung TV.

  2. Search FreeCast.

  3. Select the app when it appears and click “Get” to install on your TV.

  4. Once the app is done installing you can begin enjoying FreeCast.

 LG TV (Compatible with webOS version 5 or greater)

  1. Navigate to the Apps section on your LG TV.

  2. Search FreeCast.

  3. Select the app when it appears and click “Install” to install on your TV.

  4. Once the app is done installing you can begin enjoying FreeCast!

Roku / Casting

 Roku (Casting)

  1. Make sure your mobile device and Roku device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Go to System Settings.

  3. Select Screen Mirroring and choose Enable Screen Mirroring.

  4. Next, visit the notification tray on your smartphone or tablet device and select Screen Mirroring or Smart View.

  5. Choose which Roku device you want to connect to and start enjoying FreeCast!

Disclaimer regarding Roku casting and screen mirroring

  • Android Mobile - Can not cast FreeCast to Roku devices.

  • iOS - Can cast via AirPlay to an AirPlay-compatible Roku device. Not all Roku devices are AirPlay compatible. Click here to check compatibility

    *Value Channels not included

  • MacOS (with Safari) - Can cast via AirPlay to an Airplay-compatible Roku device.

  • Windows - Can not cast to Roku devices.

  • Android Mobile - Can screen mirror to a Roku device with a screen mirroring-enabled phone.

  • Windows - Can screen mirror to a Roku device.

 Chromecast

  1. First, make sure your mobile device and Chromecast device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Open the FreeCast app on your device and tap the Cast button that appears in the top right corner of the FreeCast app screen.

  3. Choose the Chromecast device you want to watch content from and it should then begin casting the app directly onto your TV screen.
